The Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport is a European training and consultancy centre, reference for intermodal transport and logistics.
The Escola Europea promotes the development of a sustainable model of freight transport in Europe. To achieve this goal, the organization focuses its activities on two main areas: Training and Consultancy.
Regarding Training, the Escola Europea’s main objective is to train people who are or will be involved in the design of logistics chains; to acquaint them with logistic and transport operations; and to offer a first-hand vision of ports and current logistic communities in Europe.
The Escola Europea offers special practical training courses on maritime and rail intermodal transport and logistics for professionals and students on board of vessels and trains. This enhances the pragmatic aspects and encourages professionals to strengthen their networking relationships.
The Escola Europea has also developed a set of technical training for professionals, focused on: Groupage and Consolidation Centres, Temperature Controlled Supply Chains, Port Operations, Customs and Energy Transition.
Moreover, the Escola Europea also has a port-logistics community simulator called Port Virtual Lab, in which international trade operations can be simulated using digital tools.
As Consultant, the Escola Europea has taken part in several international pioneer projects promoting intermodal logistics. The Escola Europea is currently involved in strategic intermodal projects such as YEP MED, as lead beneficiary, Techlog and Green Marine Med as partner.
