At FERCAM we are committed to the most efficient and environmentally friendly form of transport, both for full load (FTL) and partial load (LTL) or Ro-Ro shipments. Based on the specific requirements of our customers, we assess their needs and recommend the most suitable solution. Intermodal transport is the transfer of goods through different means (truck, train and/or ship) in the same unit load. The truck is used for the traction of goods on departure and arrival (short legs), while the train or ship covers the long traction of the transport. It is currently the most sustainable transport solution, achieving a reduction in CO2 emissions of between 60% and 95%. It also makes it possible to transport heavier loads, with a payload of up to 27 tonnes, 10% higher than road transport. In addition, it allows the transport of goods regardless of weather conditions, traffic conditions and mandatory breaks. We offer daily connections to Northern Europe with a high availability of time slots, even on weekends and holidays.
