HVO FUEL, AN ECO-FRIENDLY CHOICE
FERCAM
At FERCAM we are committed to the adoption of innovative biofuels in order to drive the transition to a sustainable and low-carbon future. HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a renewable diesel fuel made from a mixture of vegetable oils, animal fats, and other waste materials. It is compatible with diesel engines and is absolutely colourless and odourless. If used pure, it enables a calculated reduction in CO₂ emissions along the entire supply chain of up to 90%. It is, therefore, a low-carbon biofuel that significantly reduces greenhouse gases and other harmful pollutants. Its use reinforces the principles of the circular economy, as it is created from products that should be disposed of as waste. It is an environmentally friendly non-fossil fuel, with a performance similar to that of conventional diesel but with a reduced environmental impact. With a full tank it is possible to travel a distance of 3,000 km, which makes it ideal for covering numerous national and international routes.
