ECO_FERRO is a pioneering project funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, within the framework of the 2023 call for AEI Projects. Its aim is to promote decarbonization in rail freight transport, using Industry 4.0 technologies to optimize energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Through the digitalization and improvement of traction technologies, ECO_FERRO seeks to implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions that enable railway operators to better manage their energy and actively participate in the energy futures market. This project represents a significant step towards the energy and sustainable transformation of the railway sector, aligning with the global objectives of reducing the carbon footprint and improving operational efficiency.
