Baleària, Spain's leading shipping company in the transport of passengers, vehicles, and goods, has developed over the last few years its own fleet control tower, a tailor-made digital solution to streamline and improve its decision-making in terms of business and sustainability. This application provides a dashboard with real-time information on truck loading operations: linear meters shipped, types of equipment, shipment status, etc. Thus, Baleària optimises stowage, identifies any risk, speeds up decision-making and guarantees the punctuality and quality of service to customers. In addition, the shipping company has sensorized part of its fleet to also monitor in real time a large amount of crucial data, such as consumption levels and emissions, as well as location, speed, and load capacity. The purpose of this project is to always improve the eco-efficiency of its vessels. Baleària has reinforced the digitalisation of its freight transport services with an exclusive web portal for cargo customers, a digitised shipment, and an app for carriers, to offer greater autonomy in the management of bookings, better logistics and port planning, and reduce procedures and waiting times.
